Namaste, Series

Sulabh Public School in New Delhi is the 1st school in India to systematically implement the Namaste, Series books in its program. First, of its kind in India, it was set up in 1992 by Social Reformer and innovator Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak . The Series Editor of Namaste, Series Sunoor Verma visited the school and was super-inspired by the dedication and energy of the students and faculty. Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak found the time to inspire the students and read aloud "Namaste, Mary Kom!". The story reminded him of his days of walking a long distance to his school every day. He also addressed the leadership of Sulabh Public School highlighting the importance of integrating real-life inspirational stories that are homegrown.
The Sulabh Public School caters to children of scavengers along with other children and follows the belief that “Education alone can empower the weak and the poor”. Namaste, Series books are being used across disciplines in the primary and middle Sulabh Public School. These stories are inspiring students to beat adversity and come out stronger! Salutes to Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak and the Sulabh International Social Service Organisation family for inspiring generations! Sunanda Verma Namastê Onler Karong
